Bringing a new type of housing to Peoria

One of Peoria’s goals is to provide diverse housing solutions for its residents that meets current and future demands.

To work toward this goal, city planners have begun to explore allowing accessory dwelling units in the community.
Residents may know this better as a guest house, either attached or detached to a single family home.

More succinctly, an ADU is defined as a smaller, independent residential dwelling unit on the same lot as a stand-alone single-family home.
