Chandler looks at anti-discrimination protections

The Chandler City Council will hold a retreat later today (April 21) with a focus on potential changes to anti-discrimination ordinances as well as inclusion, diversity and social equity efforts.

A number of Valley cities have updated their anti-discrimination ordinances to add gender identity and sexual orientation to protected classes.

Discrimination ordinances apply to housing, accommodations, employment and government contractors.
