Cindy McCain participates in beam-signing event

Cindy McCain, the widow of John McCain, participated in the April 1 commemorative beam signing event at the site of the future John S. McCain III Elementary School.

Buckeye Elementary School District Superintendent Dr. Kristi Wilson hosted the event in partnership with architects Orcutt-Winslow and developer Chasse Building Team.

A former schoolteacher, McCain shared her continued enthusiasm for the facility’s direction. She was one of the first to sign the beam and added a message. During the hour-long event, the beam was adorned with messages of hope, optimism and positivity about the school’s future and the late senator’s legacy.
