Prelim plat proposed for Mercado Fiesta Condominiums

Modifying a preliminary plat to redevelop the one-story Mercado Fiesta Condominiums west of Alma School Road on the south side of Southern Avenue should be approved by Mesa City Council, the municipality’s planning and zoning board recommended Wednesday.

The preliminary plat amendment was recommended for approved unanimously in a consent agenda April 14, with Vice Chair Jessica Sarkissian and board members Shelly Allen and Benjamin Ayers absent. The City Council will make the final decision at a future meeting.

Heather Roberts of Kimley Horn is the applicant. BPC Larkspur Mercado LLC is the owner.
