Tempe to award contract to widen McClintock Dr.

The Tempe City Council will vote on a $915,649 construction contract to widen McClintock Drive

between Broadway Road and Apache Boulevard.

The city wants to award the contract to Combs Construction Co.

The project includes a $91,565 contingency amount.

The effort will keep bicycle lanes on McClintock but Combs will add a southbound lane, expand existing lanes and improve streetscapes along the route.

The Tempe council will vote on the infrastructure improvements at its April 15 meeting.
