A different kind of future:’ Peoria tackles new era in municipal water services

Arizona is moving toward a new wave of water issues that will affect residents more than ever before.

With the likelihood of a shortage to Central Arizona Project water supply in the next year, Peoria water services staff is updating its drought contingency plan, which projects continued increases in water costs and calls for more conservation from residents.

During the next 12 months, the city will conduct a water loss audit, participate in new water supply pilot projects and studies, as well as begin Peoria’s integrated master plan update.
