COOLIDGE — Ever since local resident Kevin Cavanaugh won the District 1 county supervisor seat last fall, Coolidge officials have been excited about the prospect of more direct representation.
In a presentation for the City Council on Monday, Cavanaugh said he was hoping to take that one step further and establish an office in the city.
“We are hoping to plant some deep roots here in Coolidge,” Cavanaugh said. “We have a location, and once we’re approved by the supervisors, we will purchase the building.”
Cavanaugh said he couldn’t disclose exactly where it would be but that the office location would be on the east side of the city. His plan is to establish the office within the next few months. Cavanaugh said he’d made an effort to attend as many local events as possible, including recent openings of HTO Energy Tea and the DAV Military Museum.
