Decision on luxury single-family rental project near Anthem delayed

A controversial development issue near Anthem will land on the desks of the Phoenix Planning Commission after an appeal was filed on the matter.

The April 28 appeal, filed by Richard Zimmerman of New River, claims the Arise North Phoenix development “lacks street infrastructure” and is unsafe.

“The frontage road is a fatality waiting to happen,” the appeal said. “This is irresponsible of the city of Phoenix to develop this area before the infrastructure is in place to support it.”
