The Gilbert Town Council is scheduled to consider plans for a new four-story infill development in the Heritage District area.

Plans call for a mixed-use building with office and restaurant space.

The council is being asked by Brundrett Properties Inc. to rezone a 0.365-acre parcel at 226 North Gilbert Road to allow for the building.

The Brundrett family owns Norwood Furniture and wants to develop the new building on three vacant parcels near Gilbert’s Water Tower.

The council is being asked to increase the allowed height for the Heritage District building from 55 feet to 68 feet.

The item is on the council agenda for today’s meeting (May 18).
