Phoenix housing prices set new records, creating challenges for home buyers

Phoenix just set another record for home prices, as the median home price hits $359,300 and climbing.We look at which zip codes have seen the biggest jump in home value over the past year.

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – Janna Stults and her family live near Seattle, but they’re looking to move back to the Phoenix area. The only problem – home prices are skyrocketing and they cant find anything they can afford.

“Seeing a price increase of $75,000 over a period of 8 weeks is very excessive to me,” said Stults. “We have some money we saved for a down payment, but we are quickly getting priced out of certain areas.”
