Samsung addresses rumors over $17B factory site

Despite widespread speculation that Austin will be home to its $17 billion chipmaking plant, Samsung officials told Austin Business Journal on May 21 that a decision has not yet been made.

But the tech giant has decided to build its next plant somewhere in the United States — either in Texas, Arizona or upstate New York — rather than its home country of South Korea.
