The Airbnb of storage

Preston and Abby Alder needed a place to store their belongings during a summer internship in South America, but most nearby storage facilities were full or too expensive.

They stacked their things in a friend’s garage an hour away. On the way back, Preston got an idea.

People took rides from strangers and stayed in their houses as part of the sharing economy.

“Storing your Christmas tree in a house down the street isn’t that much of a stretch,” Preston said. Abby was skeptical at first.
