Cobblestone Hotels hopes to break ground within four months of getting approval from the Town of Wickenburg.
“At this point, we are ready to go,” Cobblestone CEO Brian Wogernese told The Sun.
Town Council recently approved a rezone request to allow for construction of a hotel, on top of Bass Hill overlooking U.S. 60 between Sundance Pizza and Burger King, however, final design plans still must go through the Planning and Zoning Advisory Commission and be approved by the Town Council.
“We think it’s a good site, especially with the traffic through town,” Wogernese said. “We’re on a major thoroughfare to Vegas.”
The company initially attempted to build a hotel downtown in Heritage Square in 2017. But that effort, which was under a different ownership group, fell through. And Wogernese said that location is no longer an option.
