By Paulina Pineda | Arizona Republic

Tempe Diablo Stadium, home to the Los Angeles Angels, will see a $50.9 million facelift, a move that will keep the baseball team in Tempe through at least the next decade.

Tempe and the Angels plan to build a new clubhouse for the baseball team and improve the concourse and seating.

Future upgrades are planned to the Minor League Baseball fields at the 75-acre complex, which includes the main baseball stadium, Major League Baseball clubhouse, Minor League Baseball clubhouse, 6.5 practice fields and two soccer fields.

The city will foot the bulk of the bill, $40.9 million, to renovate the stadium near 48th Street and Alameda Drive just west of Interstate 10, according to a copy of the agreement.
