Balancing the housing market in Peoria

Home inventory remains low in Peoria, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

The recent opening of Northpointe at Vistancia is bringing hundreds of new homes into the pipeline, and surrounding master planned communities are not far behind, set to bring hundreds more into the northern Peoria real estate market.

A handful of housing communities in the north are preparing around 2,600 homes that are in some form of the entitlement process and moving forward.

City Planner Lorie Dever said that in March and April alone, Aloravita North and South, located near Jomax Road and 75th Avenue, submitted 1,600 preliminary plat applications to the city — 750 in the north and 850 in the south.
