More homes ready to be built in Camino a Lago

More homes are ready to be built in Peoria.

A vacant property bounded by Deer Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway is ramping up construction for nearly 500 homes on 126 acres.

The land is part of the larger 359-acre Camino A Lago South Planned Area Development that was adopted by the Peoria City Council in 2005.

The property was acquired by D.R. Horton Homes through a State Land auction a few years ago.

For various reasons – including the impacts from the Great Recession – this plot of land remained vacant for a number of years.
