The Scottsdale City Council is slated to consider a rezoning request to allow for a new showroom and dealership location for McLaren Scottsdale.
The luxury car dealership wants to relocate to a property at the northwest corner of Hayden Road and Thunderbird Road.
The dealership is currently located at the southeast corner of Raintree Drive and 83rd Place.
The McLaren dealership is asking for the City of Scottsdale to approve a zoning district map change from Industrial Park to a General Commercial zoning designation.
The dealership wants to build a new showroom and other operations including parking and storage on the 3.4-acre site.
The property is currently occupied by HydroGro, an agriculture and turf company, which intends to vacate the building in the next few months, according to city documents.
The Scottsdale City Council is tentatively scheduled to look at the McLaren zoning request at its Aug. 24 meeting.
