First-time homebuyers are finding Surprise a pretty good place to put down some roots.
That’s according to a new report from financial site WalletHub.
The site’s editors ranked Surprise 10th on its recent Best and Worst Cities for First-Time Homebuyers list.
WalletHub compared 300 cities of varying sizes across 22 key indicators of market attractiveness, affordability and quality of life.
Three Arizona cities were in the top 10. Beside Surprise, Gilbert (second overall) and Peoria (seventh) also made it.
The rest of the top 10 included Chesapeake, Virginia (first), Lincoln, Nebraska (third), Cape Coral, Florida (fourth), Boise, Idaho (fifth), Hampton, Virginia (sixth), Virginia Beach, Virginia (eight) and Norfolk, Virginia (ninth).
