Tucson home prices up 17% over past 12 months

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Home prices are continuing their rise in the Tucson metropolitan area.

That is according to the latest numbers real estate search Zonda.

Steven Hensley, advisory manager for Zonda, said the median new home price in metropolitan Tucson is approaching $375,000. Median existing home prices stand at $325,000, Hensley said.

New home prices in the Tucson market are up 11% since January and 17% over the past 12 months.

“Everything is just being pushed up,” said Hensley, referring to price gains spurred by low mortgage interest rates and population gains throughout the state.

The Phoenix metro area and other submarkets across the region and country have also seen price jumps.
