This might seem petty, but worth it to point out eastern coast uppityness.
Fox Sports tells us a Diamondbacks game begins at 9:40 EST pm. Doing some quick math, we know the game gets underway at 6:40 pm Arizona time.
It’s time the other time zones in the country get equal recognition. Two possible ways to do that: List the start times for all the time zone when announcing program times; or list program times as Pacific Standard Time and let people in the Big Apple add to that.
The world does not begin and end in New York City. Just ask the 2001 Yankees how they felt leaving the “The Bob”at 1:40 a.m. EST without the title.
The Diamondbacks had a good portion of night to celebrate.
Wait! There’s an answer: Whichever team wins the World Series, that team’s home time zone would be listed for program start times, and the rest of the country would have to do the math.
It’s about time.
