FLORENCE — Florence placed sixth in a ranking of Arizona’s top-10 healthiest housing markets.
The seventh-annual study by SmartAsset financial advisors gauged market health by measuring the average number of years residents have lived in their homes, home values, the ease of selling a home and the costs of home ownership.
Home costs as a percentage of income in Florence were 17.7%, the lowest in the top 10, the study found. Florence homeowners have lived in their homes an average of 8.8 years. Only 14.3% of homes are decreasing in value and 11.5% have negative equity. A home stays on the market in Florence for an average of 67.6 days, the study found.
