The city of Glendale is looking at annexing 75 acres of county land for potential industrial development.
The Glendale City Council will hold a public hearing tonight (Aug. 24) on the proposed annexation of land at the northwest corner of Glendale Avenue and Reems Road.
The city is also being asked to rezone the land, dubbed Bickman Industrial by Glendale planners, from the county’s rural residential designation to a Planned Area Development (PAD).
That will allow for a potential industrial development.
The Bickman Industrial property could accommodate a 1.1 million-square-foot industrial development, according to city documents.
Glendale and the West Valley are seeing new and proposed industrial developments for manufacturing, distribution and logistics operations.
