High-end corporate hotel gets Phoenix approval

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Phoenix City Council has given final plat approval for a high-end corporate hotel.

WaterWalk acquired a 4.5-acre parcel at 19th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road last year.

The Wichita-based company develops high-end, extended stay hotels. It has locations in Dallas, Charlotte, Denver, Northern Virginia, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Kansas City.

The Phoenix location will be WaterWalk’s first extended-stay hotel in Arizona.

Stantec Consulting is serving as the engineering firm for the development project in north Phoenix.

The Phoenix City Council gave final plat approvals for the hotel project on Aug. 25.
