Redevelopment plans have been submitted in Scottsdale for redevelopment of office buildings and a vacant parcel into an apartment project.
Plans call for a 310-unit multifamily complex have been submitted by Jim Riggs and 92 Ironwood Partners LLC.
The City of Scottsdale is being asked to rezone an 8.37-acre parcel at 10301 North 92nd Street at 10299 North 92nd Street for development of a “four to five-story, 310-unit multifamily project”, according to municipal documents.
The city is being asked to rezone the parcels “from Highway Commercial Planned Community District (C-3 PCD) and Commercial Office Planned Community District (C-O PCD) to Planned Unit Development Planned Community District (PUD PCD) with a Development Plan,” according to city documents.
The properties are located near Shea Boulevard and the Loop 101 freeway.
The architect for the proposed apartments is The Davis Experience.
“The request is a comprehensive redevelopment plan of some outdated office buildings, utilizing adjacent vacant land to the east and revitalizing the south end of the adjacent shopping center. The proposal is to design an appropriate scaled, luxury residential project to provide much needed support housing to the Cure Corridor land uses including the hospital campus and surround medical offices and facilities. The proposed housing project will not impact any surrounding single family residential neighborhoods and provide the surrounding commercial centers with much needed customers,” the developers’ submittal reads.
