Updated plans have been put forward in Scottsdale for renovations of a historic collection of buildings in Old Town.

Plans have been submitted for the rehabilitation of the Kiva Craft Center at 7121-7141 East Fifth Avenue.

The complex includes a half dozen buildings totaling 23,115 square feet and was built in the 1950s.

It is now home to shops, hair salons, a restaurant, bar and offices.

Plans call for exterior, breezeway and other improvements as well as creation of an art garden concept and mural.

The architect for the renovations is Douglas Sydnor Architect & Associates Inc

The property has a historic designation. The Maricopa County Assessor lists Sunbrella Properties as the owner.
