In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. construction industry is coming back strong this year. Just 96,000 building permits were issued in April 2020—a five-year low. In contrast, an average of 135,500 building permits per month were issued in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2021.
This bounce back begs the question: Which cities will see the highest demand for construction workers?
