Opinion: It’s going get ugly before it gets positively hideous as the Republican candidates for Arizona governor stoop to show who is the Trumpiest of all. Democrats, meanwhile, will be passing the popcorn.

On Wednesday evening, Republican gubernatorial frontrunner Kari Lake announced that she’s been endorsed by the MyPillow guy, Mike Lindell. (See photo above)
It’s probably the second most coveted endorsement a Republican could get in Arizona, given his unshaken (read: unhinged) belief that the 2020 election was rigged.
Lake called Lindell “one of the Great Patriots of our time.”
“I am so incredibly honored to have his Endorsement,” she tweeted. “He has put EVERYTHING on the line to restore our Elections.”
By Thursday morning, Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon upped the ante. He announced he wants to audit not just the election in Maricopa County but the whole state, given the “serious discrepancies” that will be unveiled on Friday by Sen. Karen Fann’s ninja auditors.
“I call on the Arizona State Senate to immediately begin the process of requesting an audit and canvass to be undertaken throughout the entire state of Arizona so we can get to the bottom of what occurred on Election Day 2020,” he proclaimed.
