New sports fields designs put forward in Scottsdale

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Design and site plans have been filed in Scottsdale for the development of 5 new sports fields east of the WestWorld events and equestrian complex.

The fields could be used for various sports and will have lighting and some support buildings.

The 29-acre parcel is owned by the City of Scottsdale and is located near Thompson Peak Parkway and McDowell Mountain Ranch Road.

Scottsdale acquired the vacant and unimproved parcel from the Arizona State Land Department in December.

New sports fields and improvements at WestWorld were part of a sweeping bond program approved by Scottsdale voters in 2019.
