Scottsdale-based P.F. Chang’s has opened a flagship “Royal Hawaiian” location in Honolulu as part of a wider brand refresh for the Chinese restaurant chain.
The 10,000-square-foot Hawaii restaurant went through a six-month renovation. P.F. Chang’s already renovated another restaurant in Las Vegas under its new flagship design.
All of the Arizona-based chain’s restaurants will be updated with new décor, lighting, menus, ambiance music and staff uniforms by the end of 2022.
The restaurant company is also opening 50 new P.F. Chang’s To Go fast service eateries are scheduled to open in Arizona, Florida, Colorado, Texas, New York and Louisiana by the end of 2022.
The renovated Honolulu restaurant has an exterior “made entirely of puka lava stone,” according to the company.
The renovations also include creating more of an open-air dining experience along with casual and more formal and private dining areas.
“P.F. Chang’s prides itself in offering an immersive Asian dining experience, and this new flagship location allows us to do so in a distinctly differentiated way,” said Tana Davila, chief marketing officer at P.F. Chang’s. “Our restaurants provide a destination for guests – whether it’s a holiday, birthday or night out with friends and family – and this location certainly takes that to a new level, as we provide moments and meals our guests are sure to remember.”
