Pinal County, ASU to launch Gold Canyon community plan

GOLD CANYON — According to the most recent Census data, Gold Canyon’s population has reached 11,404, almost doubling over the past 20 years.

Meanwhile, over the same period, much of Gold Canyon’s infrastructure has remained untouched, officials say.

Pinal County is partnering with Arizona State University and Gold Canyon Community, Inc. (GCCI) to develop a Gold Canyon Community Plan.

The first stage of planning will include a community-wide survey. This survey has been developed with input from local community groups, the Gold Canyon Business Association, Gold Canyon citizens, and ASU.
