A poll of Arizonans showed more than half oppose Gov. Doug Ducey’s ban on mask mandates in schools and withholding funds from districts that have mask requirements.
Phoenix-based OH Predictive Insights released its findings Tuesday. Of the 1,000 surveyed, 57% disagreed with Ducey’s decision to withhold funding from school districts that have mask mandates. Of that number, 44% strongly opposed.
The poll also found 51% to 35% were against prohibiting schools from requiring children to wear masks.
The poll was conducted Sept. 7-12. Participants were 18 and older.
The poll also found that 58% believed schools should make the decision whether to require masks, while 42% felt parents should be the ones to determine mask-wearing for their children.
