Rezoning, apartments eyed for vacant Chandler parcel

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The City of Chandler is looking at rezoning seven acres at Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road for the development of a 199-unit apartment complex.

The land is currently vacant and zoned for light industrial, retail, showroom  and office uses.

The Chandler City Council is being asked to change the zoning to a multifamily residential designation at its meeting today (Sept. 23).

Vedura Residential wants to develop a 4-story multifamily development on the site called Elevation AZ 87.

The 199 apartment units will include studio, one- and two-bedroom units.

The site has been zoned for commercial use since 1983 but has not been developed.
