Mesa considers annexing 71 acres for massive industrial building

Mesa City Council is considering annexing 71 acres into city boundaries for a massive industrial building known by the code name “Project Cork.”

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board will decide on Wednesday whether to recommend changing the zoning for the currently vacant piece of land in unincorporated Maricopa County on Pecos Road just west of Signal Butte Road from agriculture to light industrial.
