Proposed developments approved by Coolidge council

COOLIDGE — The Coolidge City Council on Monday night approved the beginning stages of two developments that could bring more housing and apartment units to the city.

The council first approved an ordinance to rezone certain parcels of land from multi-family residential R-3 to multi-family residential R-4 consisting of 1.8 acres for an apartment complex at the southeast corner of Spruell Avenue and Fourth Street.

Economic Development Services Director Gilbert Lopez did not know how many units are being proposed yet, but estimated it to be at least 16.
