It truly was as close to paradise as one can be, at Camelback Inn on Oct. 17, when Town of Paradise Valley residents and community members celebrated 60 years of incorporation.
The town’s 60th anniversary celebration included 300 attendees who enjoyed a backyard barbecue-style affair. The event was hosted at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn and included donated food, beverage and other goods provided from the other resorts in town.
The Town of Paradise Valley Historical Advisory Committee planned the event throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and had to reschedule from its original April date because of safety precautions.
“This event was a true community effort,” said Catherine Kauffman, chair of the Paradise Valley Historical Advisory Committee.
