Anthem hires new executive director

An Anthem leader announced the hiring of a new executive director Wednesday to take the reigns as the master-planned community’s top manager.

Bob McKenzie announced the hiring of Aaron Baker, a former city manager in Mesquite, Nevada. Baker will start Dec. 1 in his new role. The announcement was made during the Anthem Community Council regular meeting via Zoom.

McKenzie is currently chair of the council and has been acting executive director since Terry Mullarkey, a long-time Anthem resident, resigned from the position. Mullarkey’s last day was July 9.
