Home permits surging in Coolidge

COOLIDGE — In the last 13 years Coolidge has gone from issuing almost no permits for new homes to more than 800 or an average of more than 70 home permits every month.

From 2009 to 2016 home permits in the city were in the single digits for the entire year before jumping to 11 in 2017.
In 2018, housing permits increased to 47 before increasing to 185 in 2019.
