A 30-unit apartment complex is to be built on 4.5 acres between two canals west of Stapley Drive on the south side of McKellips Road in Mesa.
The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on Oct. 13 voted unanimously in a consent agenda with other items to recommend the city council approve a site plan and rezoning to multiple residence with a planned area development overlay. Board member Shelly Allen was absent from the meeting.
The project will be called Westmount Estates and is between two canals that abut the property’s eastern and western sections, according to a written planning division staff report.
