Goodyear looks to develop commercial, residential at former city center site near spring training facility

Goodyear is looking to transform about 180 acres of vacant land that was once designated for its city center into commercial and residential space.

The site is located just north of the Goodyear Ballpark, which houses the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians spring training facility, and is adjacent to the new Goodyear Recreation Campus and residential communities.

Although Goodyear chose to develop its city center at McDowell Road and 150th Avenue north of Interstate 10, it still hopes to bring development to the four corners at Yuma Road and Estrella Parkway with potential residential, retail, office, hotel or entertainment uses.
