The Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale has amended its agreement with the city to change the location for its anticipated sportsbook wagering facility and provide additional improvements necessary for the new property.
On June 8, Scottsdale City Council and TPC, the host of the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open, adopted a resolution to their original 1985 lease agreement to allow for the construction of a retail sportsbook facility and bar.
Originally, construction was to take place at the club’s golf facility on the clubhouse parcel; however, after further consideration, TPC and the PGA Tour, which is also responsible for the management of the club, requested to lease a neighboring property to build the facility.
