4 projects underway to bring water to south Apache Junction

The Superstition Area Water Plant owned by Apache Junction Water District is to be expanded to accommodate growth to the south including at the D.R. Horton and Brookfield Residential developments.

The facility on Ironwood Drive near Baseline Road is to be changed from a capacity of 2 million gallons per day to 4 million gallons per day, Water District Director Mike Loggins said during the Jan. 18 meeting of the water district board, which is comprised of city council members.
