Few residents participate in Scottsdale’s effort to gauge Old Town development taste

There are numerous opinions about what Old Town Scottsdale should be, but a lack of resident input is stalling any meaningful direction on what the community wants it to be.

Scottsdale City Council is undertaking an update the character area plan for the Old Town area, with potential changes coming next spring. However, some fear changes to development standards will negatively impact area property owners.

The city of Scottsdale has this fall undergone efforts to promote a conversation about Old Town’s character area plan and zoning ordinance.
