Glendale hires architecture firm to revamp arena that will no longer be ‘hockey venue’

The city of Glendale is moving forward with plans to modernize Gila River Arena for a future that does not include the Arizona Coyotes.

The city announced Monday that it had hired architectural and engineering firm HOK to lead the modernization of the arena to reposition it for concerts and other live events.
