Gov. Ducey proposes water technology investment, touts business track record in final State of the State

A billion dollars in funding for water desalination, infrastructure needs, a summer school program and a border wall were among the priorities presented in Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s final State of the State address Monday afternoon.

In his speech, Ducey said he and Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers and Senate President Karen Fann have been working to propose a historic investment to pave the way for water desalination — a process of removing salt and other minerals from water — of $1 billion.
