Wickenburg negotiating with manager candidate

The Wickenburg Town Council voted Monday to begin contract negotiations with one of three finalists for the town manager position.

“We have directed staff to begin negotiations with an individual,” Mayor Rui Pereira said. He said the name could not be made public yet but expects the name to be released within seven days.

Arizona Governor’s Office Senior Operations Manager Anthony Hunter, Santa Fe Public Schools Chief Financial Officer Robert Martinez and former Ione (California) City Manager Edwin Pattison interviewed for the position with the Council, the Town’s executive team and community stakeholders before participating with the public in a meet and greet at the Wickenburg Community Center before the special called Council meeting.
