Adaptive reuse of Hayden Flour Mill a ‘dream come true’

For Lorenzo Perez, co-founder of Phoenix-based Venue Projects, the chance to give a new life to the shuttered Hayden Flour Mill in Tempe is “a dream come true.”

“Tempe was like the second city I grew up in when I was a little boy,” he said. “My grandfather was a huge fan of the river bottom, so we would always go there. The mill has always been a backdrop to my life, and I’ve always wanted to see something happen there.”
