Buckeye city manager search narrows down to 3 candidates

The nation’s fastest-growing city could hire a city manager as soon as Monday after interviewing three candidates last week.

The Buckeye City Council is scheduled to meet in a closed-door session Monday with Daniel Cotterman, a deputy city manager in neighboring Goodyear, who is being considered for Buckeye’s top executive post.

The council could then enter open session and “take action regarding the position of city manager,” according to the agenda. That could mean making a hire, continuing the search or simply opting to not take it to a vote yet.
