The City of Chandler is looking at ways to better brand and promote the West Chandler area that is home to Intel, Avnet and other major employers.
The city wants to better brand and market the area generally bounded by Interstate 10, the Loop 202 freeway, McClintock Drive and Ray Road.
That includes advertising, social media promotions and branding such as seven new “West Chandler” signs installed throughout the East Valley area.
Chandler’s Economic Development Advisory Board will be updated on the West Chandler branding push at its Feb. 9 meeting.
There are more than 600 businesses and 29,000 workers in the area and 13.4 million square feet of industrial, office and retail space in the area.
The marketing efforts include digital billboards, ads in local news publications, posts on Twitter and LinkedIn.
The Feb. 9 meeting will brief city economic development officials on current and future efforts to market the area.
