FLORENCE — Seven broad community goals provide the foundation for the town’s decision making in Florence’s 10-year General Plan update.

The update is now nearing completion, and the review period continues through March 20. To view the document and provide comments, visit the General Plan website at www.FlorenceGPupdate.com. Paper copies are also available at the Florence Community Development Department at 224 W. 20th St.

State law mandates that each city and town have a General Plan, which must be updated and adopted by voters every 10 years. The plan being developed now will go before local voters for approval in November.
