Industrial building proposed for vacant Mesa parcels

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Plans are afoot in Mesa for development of a new industrial building on a vacant parcel on Baseline Road in the East Valley.

AZ Baseline Industrial LP (Hopewell Development) wants to build a 47,944-square-foot industrial building on a 3.6-acre site near Baseline Road, Javelina Avenue and Horne Road.

The developer is seeking a “development incentive” from the City of Mesa to allow for construction of the industrial project.

The incentive would allow for development on the three separate parcels including waiving some landscaping and site plans rules as well as allowing for a taller building and truck docks to be street facing.

Plans call for a 42-foot high building.

The developer needs the waivers from Mesa for the project, according to documents submitted to the city.

The Mesa Board of Adjustment will look at the requests and the project at its Feb. 2 meeting.
